#Kandinsky – Concerning the #spiritual in #art

Just found out that some truth are universal and can be shared with everyone about everything. Even a thought just about work of art, it fits any other aspect of life like family and even business.
Here is one from Kandinsky: as usual, the artist can use his inner sense as a shortcut to achieve what scientist and philosophers take years to reach.

#Shoa Memorial Day 2014 – Primo #Levi – If this is a man

Memorial day 2014

Primo Levi
“If this is a man”

You who live safe
In your warm houses,
You who find, returning in the evening,
Hot food and friendly faces:
Consider if this is a man
Who works in the mud
Who does not know peace
Who fights for a scrap of bread
Who dies because of a yes or a no.
Consider if this is a woman,
Without hair and without name
With no more strength to remember,
Her eyes empty and her womb cold
Like a frog in winter.
Meditate that this came about:
I commend these words to you.
Carve them in your hearts
At home, in the street,
Going to bed, rising;
Repeat them to your children,
Or may your house fall apart,
May illness impede you,
May your children turn their faces from you.

Sunday at #Chur (#Coira) – The oldest town in #Switzerland

Due to a unnatural nice whether, we decided to take a drive nearby to the Swiss Alps, in Chur.

From Wikipedia

Chur or Coire (pronounced [ˈkuːr] in Graubünden and outside of Switzerland but [ˈxuːr] in other cantons of Switzerland; Alemannic German: Khûr; Romansh: Cuira [ˈkwerɐ] or [ˈkwoi̯rɐ]; Italian: Coira [ˈkɔi̯ɾa]; French: Coire [ˈkwaʁ]; Latin: CVRIA, CVRIA RHAETORVM and CVRIA RAETORVM) is the capital of the Swiss canton of Graubünden and lies in the northern part of the canton. Chur is situated at the right shore of the Rhine-River and is known as the oldest town of Switzerland.
Archaeological evidence of settlement at the site, in the Eastern Alps, goes back as far as the Pfyn culture[3] (3900-3500 BC),[4] making Chur one of the oldest settlements in Switzerland. Remains and objects from the Bronze and Iron Ages have been found also in the eastern sector of the current city’s centre.

We find also a very interesting restaurant where to taste the regional specialities like The Capuns (sausages wrapped in beet leafs) and the Bizochels (noodles with herbs and cheese).

An evening wandering in #Brindisi between #Rome’s ruins and #Templars heritage.

We took a walk in Brindisi Center. Into the crowd of modern buildings, it’s still possible to wander in old roads, look at the ancient Roman’s ruins, see the Cathedral and watch the Templars Cloister.

Brindisi was the end of Rome’s “Via Appia” Road. It’s still possible to see a copy of the original two Roman’s columns, which marked the end of the empire built’s road.

Brindisi was one of Templars Knight places, too.

Here are some few pictures.

Wish the #2014 to catch a positive #Wildfire for all of us.

Cause a little bit of summer’s what the whole year’s all about

Listen to it:
John Mayer – Wildfire

River’s strong you can’t swim inside it
We could string some lights up the hill beside it
Tonight the moon’s so bright
You could drive with your headlights out
‘Cause a little bit of summer’s what the whole year’s all about

You look fine, fine, fine
Put your feet up next to mine
We can watch that water line
Get higher and higher
Say, say, say
Ain’t it been some kind of day
You and me been catching on
Like a wildfire

Don’t get up just to get another
You can drink from mine
We can’t leave each other
We can dance with the dead
You can rest your head
On my shoulder if you want to
Get older with me
‘Cause a little bit of summer makes a lot of history

And you look fine, fine, fine
Put your feet up next to mine
We can watch that water line
Get higher and higher
Say, say, say
Ain’t it been some kind of day
You and me been catchin’ on
Like a wildfire

I got a rock from the river in my medicine bag
Magpie feather in his medicine bag

Say, say, say
Ain’t it been some kind of day
You and me been catchin’ on
Like a wildfire

Goodbye #Madiba #Mandela

Reading “The long walk to Freedom”
I happen to realize that Nelson Mandela was not just a freedom fighter… He was a true leader, who could have been very well figured as teacher in leadership classes (management included).

“Difficulties break some men, but make others”

“While an organization like the ANC is made up of individual parts, it is greater than any of its individual parts, and loyalty to the organization takes precedence over loyalty to an individual”

“I was more concerned with who gots the credit than whether the campaign would be succesful”.
