Well you may leave more than two years in one place and still be surprised just by walking around. Nice corners, interesting views… That’s my village (or Dorf).
What shall you do in a sunny afternoon, since you live in a Swiss village? Well maybe take a walk into the Grove behind our home. In days like these it’s a small paradise. No surprise that during weekdays it host even a “grove kindergarten”. Being a city guy, I rather had chance to be “into the nature” as I was a child.
Anyway, that’s it. Flawil in West Switzerland, Sankt Gallen Kanton.
In order to discover new places, it’s not always necessary to fly thousands miles. Today we decided to have a walk nearby our Swiss Village and we get into the small forest behind us…. And we found out the complex of Magdenau: nuns convent, St. Chapel, sawmill and the forest with wandering path.
Despite the cloudy day, it’s been an interesting discovery: especially the quietness sourraunding the Verena Chapel.
It is not always necessary to fly 10.000 miles to travel into a foreign culture. Yesterday we discover culture possibilities just in our village.
An evening with African Drums… In such armosphere the drummers seemed to be sort of ghosts delivering incredible rythms for more than two hours.
Ok wine and food was not bad either;) worth trying also next appointments
