Well, I am in Radolfzell on the Bodensee Lake to improve my German.
We are in Germany, not far from Switzerland border… Thus the restaurants are nearly all Italians… Then I found one restaurant run by people of Calabria region… which is the one where my family come from… In the end, instead of studying, I am eating… Nochmal (again).
Yesterday evening I with my long lasting friends decided to have a dinner in our favourite Pub-Restaurant. it’s just behind my parents house, my own father used to go there as he was not yet married and I’ve been there countless times. I’ve also used it to part for my University graduation. Anyway it is still the best Pub in Milano and most likely the best for food quality and pricewise. The Gesa Vegia (old Church in Milano’s dialect) in Bovisa.
Its “bruschette” and sandwich types are countless, from “piccantissima”, to “gesa vegia”, “tartina”, “pancetta”…
It’s not also bad for meat and pasta. If you are in Milano, you have to try it….
just back from Santander, a quick stop before next travel to South Italy. I have to make a comment about the best discovery in Santander: the “taberna marinera El Machi”. If you plan to visit Santander, don’t miss it. Going often to restaurants, it happens to me rarely to eat a lot, to eat a lot of very good fish and then have no trouble at all with digestion. The cusine from El Machi is very tasty and at the same time very light. Our hotel’s owner suggest it to us and we went there 2 times in 4 days!
Service is perfect and friendly and the dishes are very good. It is right on the long Harbour of Santander, so also the view of the sea is nice.
The first evening (at midnight!) we eat rice with crab and it was fresh and very good. The second time we go for a paella with mix fish plus a mix of local cheeses for dessert. Perfect.
Dont’miss it if you can.
